| I have been a High School Teacher in England and have been teaching violin privately in Ridgefield Connecticut for the last 8 years. I am new to this area and available for lessons. I also teach early level Piano. I have two bachelor degrees- a BA and BSC ; plus Post Graduate Certificate of Education (P.G.C.E) from Birmingham University, England; and have studied Music performance with Violin Pedagogy at The Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University and have certification for Suzuki Pedagogy from The Blair School of Music. My students range from 4 and 5 up to high school ages and I begin mostly with the Suzuki method for younger students, then supplementing with other etudes, scales exercises and pieces as the students progress. My students perform twice a year in recitals as well as other performance opportunities at local senior homes. |
